Attorney Alyssa Oubre
Associate Attorney
Attorney Alyssa Oubre is from California and received her bachelor's degree in legal studies from Bellevue University. Alyssa then attended Washburn University School of law, where she graduated with honors.
During law school, Alyssa achieved high academic honors, including Dean’s Honors and the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for the top grade in Constitutional Law and Collaborative Law. While attending law school, Alyssa interned in the school’s Family Law Clinic, where she earned the prestigious Irvine E. Ungerman Award for Excellence in Clinical Practice.
Alyssa began her professional career working in the court system in the early 2000s and then became a legal secretary and paralegal. She spent some time working at the Public Defender’s office, where she assisted with many juvenile cases and interacted regularly with families in crisis. These experiences inspired Alyssa to be an advocate for children.
Alyssa was a foster parent for several years, providing a safe environment for children in need. During her time as a foster parent, Alyssa adopted three of the children in her care. Alyssa continues to volunteer her time to children in foster care as the Vice President of the Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Counsel Helping Children of Mohave County.
Alyssa’s extensive legal experience with families and children makes her a trusted source of legal expertise, strategic planning, and practical guidance.
In 2020, 2021, and 2022, Alyssa was awarded the “Top 10 Under 40” honor by the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys. The National Academy of Family Law Attorneys is an organization devoted to recognizing the top family law attorneys in the nation; the award is exclusively presented to those attorneys who show an extraordinary amount of knowledge, skill, experience, expertise, and success in their practice of family law.
Alyssa’s hero is her grandmother, who was a stalwart supporter of Alyssa’s accomplishments as well as a great motivator to Alyssa to achieve her dreams and goals. Her grandmother (and parents) are always her first calls with exciting news.
Alyssa’s hobbies currently revolve around her three active children and their interests. They enjoy days at the park, baseball games, and trampoline parks.
