Erin Zimmerer’s career in law has been shaped by a profound dedication to her clients and an unwavering passion for justice. With 21 years of legal experience under her belt, Erin has navigated a wide array of legal fields, ultimately finding her calling in family law—a transition sparked by the complex family issues she encountered while handling criminal cases.
Erin’s legal journey began at Widener University in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where she earned her law degree.
Early in her career, she made a significant impact in criminal law, including a high-profile case in the Middle District of Pennsylvania that remains well-known in the region. However, Erin’s compassion for her clients led her to a new focus: family law. Recognizing the deep emotional and social challenges families face, she became devoted to guiding clients through some of the most difficult times in their lives. Her approach is defined by a commitment to neutrality and fair judgment, ensuring that each client feels heard and respected.
Throughout her career, Erin has held various positions that have enriched her understanding of the legal system. From her early role as a Clerk for the Honorable James P. Cullen in 2003-2004 to her tenure at firms such as McShane & Hitchings, Montgomery and Zimmerer Law, and Scaringi and Scaringi Law, Erin has consistently demonstrated her legal acumen and dedication. Her experience at the Department of Labor and Industry further broadened her expertise, while her recent roles at Cordell and Cordell and Cervone Law honed her skills in family law.
Beyond her professional achievements, Erin’s life is marked by her deep love for animals. An advocate for animal welfare, she has personally spayed and neutered over 300 cats—a testament to her commitment to reducing animal suffering. At home, Erin is the proud caretaker of nine cats and two dogs, all of whom enjoy a loving and safe environment. Her passion for animals extends to her community, where she has a rich history of volunteering at organizations like Anthem Fosters and Volunteers, continuously working to improve the lives of animals in need.
