Tammy Uhling - A Dedicated Advocate for Individuals and Children
Tammy Uhling’s path to a career in family law began with a spark of interest at a young age. Born in Ohio and relocating with her family to Lake Havasu, Arizona, when she was just ten, Tammy’s fascination with the legal field only grew over time. This passion led her to an early start in the profession, securing a position as a receptionist and records clerk at the Mohave County Attorney’s Office even before she finished high school. This role set the foundation for her lifelong dedication to law and advocacy.
In her late teens, Tammy moved to Maricopa County, Arizona, where she immersed herself in the world of law firms, advancing through the ranks with hard work and persistence. Her dedication and commitment paid off as she achieved a landmark accomplishment: becoming the 31st person in Arizona to earn the title of Legal Paraprofessional, with a specialty endorsement in family law.
Tammy’s deep knowledge of family law rules and procedures has equipped her to be a strong advocate for children’s well-being, and she firmly believes in the importance of both parents having the chance to actively participate in their children’s lives whenever possible.
Outside of her professional achievements, Tammy’s greatest pride is her family. Her son is currently serving in the United States Air Force, a source of immense pride, and in September 2024, she embraced the role of grandmother, welcoming a new generation into her family. Tammy raised her son in Ventura County, California, before moving back to the Phoenix area about eight years ago. Today, she cherishes the time she spends traveling with her husband and sharing moments with her family, whom she holds close to her heart.
For Tammy, family is the cornerstone of her life, and her work in family law reflects this belief. She understands firsthand the importance of providing individuals with a voice during challenging family transitions. Tammy’s unwavering commitment to family values and her dedication to supporting parents and children through difficult times make her a compassionate and determined advocate. Her life’s journey exemplifies a legal professional who uses her experience, empathy, and insight to guide individuals and families through some of their most challenging moments, ensuring they feel supported and empowered every step of the way.
Mandi Hemming is a licensed Arizona Legal Paraprofessional (LP), fully authorized to provide legal advice and representation in most family law matters—just like an Arizona divorce attorney. Licensed by the State Bar of Arizona, LPs are a groundbreaking addition to the legal field, comparable to how nurse practitioners operate in medicine, offering accessible and knowledgeable legal services.
Mandi’s passion for family law stems from her own personal experience as a young, newly divorced mother navigating the legal system with a 4-month-old child. Determined to help others in similar situations, she pursued a paralegal degree and began her career with the State of Arizona’s Division of Child Support Enforcement. In 2005, she transitioned to working with private family law attorneys, where her commitment to helping families through legal challenges deepened. Inspired to make legal services more accessible, she became a Certified Legal Document Preparer and founded EZ Legal Documents, providing affordable and efficient legal document preparation.
In 2021, Mandi was among the first ten Legal Paraprofessionals in Arizona to successfully pass the rigorous LP core and family law exams. By January 2022, she obtained her LP license in Family Law, allowing her to offer legal representation and advocacy in family court.
With over two decades of experience, Mandi has the knowledge and expertise to assist clients in a wide range of family law matters, including divorce, legal separation, child custody disputes, paternity cases, modifications, enforcement of court orders, and mediation.
Mandi is committed to delivering exceptional legal representation with a client-focused approach. She prioritizes clear communication, ensuring her clients fully understand their rights and options. If you have questions, Mandi will take the time to explain things in a way that makes sense to you—because your case matters, and so does your peace of mind.
